Katie and Chad’s colorful fall engagement session was absolutely amazing to capture! The vibrant colors of fall in Holland, MI, created the perfect backdrop for capturing their beautiful moments. We spent the day exploring two stunning locations that were meaningful to them! Choosing a meaningful location is always a great way to make your photos more authentic!
Katie & Chad’s Colorful Fall Engagement Session
We started the session at Riley Trails, a beautiful natural area in Holland. The golden colors of the trees and leaves made it a perfect setting. Katie and Chad were excited to explore the trails, and their joy shone through on every photo! This amazing location provided the perfect backdrop for their photoshoot since it complemented them so well! Next, we headed to Downtown Holland, where the beautiful streets and unique architecture offered a completely different vibe. The brick-lined sidewalks and cozy storefronts gave us so many creative opportunities for photos. Katie and Chad’s playful chemistry shone through as we wandered around. It was wonderful to capture them in a place that holds such personal meaning to them!
Holland, MI, isn’t just a stunning location for Katie and Chad, it’s a place with a lot of significance to their story. Both of them attended Hope College in Holland, and it was here that their journey as a couple began. Being able to photograph their engagement session in a town that means so much to them made the day even more meaningful. I’m so excited to be shooting Katie and Chad’s wedding in 2025! This engagement session was a great opportunity to get to know them better before their big day. Spending time together gave me a sense of what they enjoy and how they connect as a couple. It’s always helpful to build that connection beforehand, as it helps me create photos that truly reflect who they are.
