There’s just something so special about destination weddings. And Meaghan & PJ’s Colorful Destination Wedding weekend in St. Lucia was the perfect reminder of why I love them so much! These two traveled all the way from New Hampshire with over 100 of their closest friends and family (yes, over 100!!) to celebrate their love at Sandals Grande St. Lucia. From start to finish, their wedding weekend was packed with sunshine, laughter, and the kind of tropical energy that just feels effortless. You could truly tell that Meaghan & PJ wanted to be present, enjoy every moment, and soak up all the joy of their day, and honestly, the photos show exactly that!
Getting Ready in Paradise
The day started slow and easy, the kind of morning that makes you wish you could hit repeat. Meaghan got ready surrounded by her bridesmaids in matching blush robes, and the vibe was nothing but giggles, champagne, and sunshine. Her dress was a showstopper, soft lace with the prettiest sleeve details hanging perfectly against the lush green backdrop of the resort. PJ kept it classic with tan tones and timeless details (those brown loafers and gold cufflinks? So good). What I loved most about this part of the day was how relaxed it all felt. The tropical air, the palm trees swaying, it all created the perfect backdrop for a morning that was equal parts calm and excitement!
A Colorful Destination Wedding Ceremony
Their ceremony took place in one of the garden spaces at Sandals Grande. Surrounded by vibrant florals, tall palms, and that golden Caribbean light that just hits differently. Guests filled the white chairs under the shade of tropical trees, and the moment Meaghan walked down the aisle, you could feel every bit of emotion in the air. The ceremony decor was simple but stunning, a triangle arch dressed in white and green florals with touches of yellow, perfectly blending with the island scenery. It was heartfelt, emotional, and full of those tiny glances and happy tears that make a Colorful Destination Wedding so unforgettable.
Bridal Portraits by the Beach
Right after the ceremony, we made our way down to the beach for portraits. And honestly, the light could not have been more perfect. The sun was soft and golden, the waves were calm, and the whole scene felt straight out of a postcard. Meaghan & PJ were such naturals in front of the camera. They laughed, danced barefoot in the sand, and soaked in that just-married feeling surrounded by the prettiest ocean views. The mix of tropical greens, soft blues, and warm sunset tones made every photo feel alive and full of joy, exactly what a Colorful Destination Wedding should look like. We also took some fun photos of the bride and groom with their bridal parties!
Sunset Receptions & Beachfront Magic
When I say this reception setup was dreamy, I mean it! Tables lined the beach, wrapped in string lights and glowing candlelight as the sun set over the ocean. Guests enjoyed dinner right on the sand, waves crashing nearby, and the whole scene felt straight out of a postcard. As night fell, the celebration came alive. There were toasts, dancing, laughter, and that warm St. Lucia breeze tying it all together. Meaghan & PJ truly got the best of both worlds, a meaningful ceremony surrounded by nature and a lively beachfront party that celebrated everything they love most: good company, good music, and pure happiness!
