What a day it was at Grand Traverse Resort in Michigan! I had the joy of capturing Cathryn and Nick’s elegant and colorful wedding, and let me tell you, it was amazing! These two had been dating foreverrr, so this wedding was extra special and meaningful. Last year, I had the honor of capturing their engagement session at the beach, where they brought along their adorable dog for some extra cute shots. It was clear then how perfect they were for each other, and their wedding day only confirmed it!
Cathryn & Nick’s Elegant and Colorful Wedding
Now, let’s talk about the stunning location. Grand Traverse Resort in Michigan is a photographer’s dream come true! The resort sits on 900 acres of beautiful land, offering breathtaking views of Lake Michigan’s Grand Traverse Bay. It’s no wonder Cathryn and Nick chose this spot for their big day! The ceremony took place outdoors, and it was the most beautiful backdrop for them to say their “I dos”. The sun was shining, casting a warm glow on them as they said their vows. It was picture-perfect!
After the ceremony, we moved to the resort’s elegant ballroom for the reception. The room was decorated in soft, romantic colors that complemented the natural beauty of the surroundings. Cathryn and Nick’s personal touches were everywhere, from the floral arrangements to the table settings. One of my favorite moments was capturing the couple’s first dance. The way they looked at each other, you could feel the love they had for each other. It was beautiful! As the night went on, guests enjoyed the resort’s amazing food and danced the night away. It was amazing seeing everyone enjoying the party and creating memories with Cathryn & Nick.
