Amanda and Brandon’s engagement session at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan with their puppy and gorgeous sunlight couldn’t have been better! They’re planning a destination wedding in 2024, and wanted a Michigan engagement session at the sand dunes.
They brought along their cute Bernedoodle pup for photos with them! Their dog had a LOT of energy and had to get the zoomies out, but you’d never know with the super cute photos we were able to get with them.
Sand Dune Engagement Photos
For Amanda and Brandon’s engagement session we went to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. These sand dunes are on the east side of Lake Michigan along the coastline and right outside of Mears, MI. The Silver Lake Sand Dunes are open from April 1 to October 31st each year. This session was in October which typically it’s super cold at the dunes by this time. However, we lucked out and had gorgeous 75-degree weather without much wind, so it was incredible!
The sand dunes are a popular engagement session location for me, so I know all the best spots throughout the park! Sessions here always feel like we’re not in Michigan anymore.
For their session Amanda and Brandon had two different outfits. They started with a more casual look of neutral tops with jeans. Then they changed into a dressier outfit. Amanda’s flowy red dress was perfect and really stood out against the color of the dunes.
With Amanda and Brandon it was clear how much they love each other just by the look in their eyes and by how much fun they had together during their session! It always makes my job easier when couples are simply happy to be around each other and are up for anything!
