Alex and Carlo’s couples photos at Deception Pass in Washington was beyond what I even hoped for! I used to think Washington was always rainy and gloomy, but this trip proved me wrong. We had bright and sunny weather with an incredible sunset to end our session! Washington was showing off!

Alex found me on Instagram and we planned to meet up for a session while I was in Washington for a wedding. Alex and Carlo met through mutual friends and Deception Pass is one of their favorite hang-out spots. They often have picnics on the cliffsides at the beach, so Alex recommended Deception Pass as one of their locations. I’m so GLAD she did!
Tulip Photos at Roozengarde
To start off our session we met at the Roozengaarde Tulip Fields in Mount Vernon, Washington. We started out in the garden and then made our way out to the tulip fields. I couldn’t get over how bright and colorful all the tulips were! 10/10 recommend photo sessions in a flower garden!
Engagement Photos at Deception Pass State Park
Deception Pass State Park spans two islands, Fidalgo and Whidbey, and is connected by the Deception Pass Bridge. When you think of coastal photos in Washington, Deception Pass is the perfect spot with its expansive shoreline and rugged cliffs. Aside from the shoreline, there are tons of awesome hiking trails at the park. The Pacific Northwest Trails runs right through it!
For their photos at Deception Pass, Alex and Carlo took us to one of their favorite beachside locations and we had the best light! As the sun went down, we headed up to Deception Pass Bridge to end their session with sunset photos. I’m so thankful I got to meet Alex and Carlo and photograph them in one of their favorite places!
