Haley and Cameron’s Lake Michigan beach engagement photos felt like a real-life scene from The Notebook! We started their engagement session in Holland with photos in the woods and then headed to the beach at Holland State Park. To end the session they ran into the water together, and it was magical!
Engagement Photos at Riley Trails
We met up at Riley Trails to start their engagement session. They wore outfits that matched the early fall weather with jeans and cozy, cute sweaters. Riley Trails is a popular park outside of Holland for hiking and mountain biking. The trails weave through the forest and go by a small lake. With Haley and Cameron, we walked along the trails for photos among the trees and walked by the lake on our way out!
Lake Michigan Beach Engagement Photos
After photos in the forest, Haley and Cameron did an outfit change and we met at the Holland State Park beach. Holland State Park borders Lake Michigan and is known for its beautiful beaches. It’s one of my favorite locations for beach engagement photos on Lake Michigan!
We walked among the grass covered dunes and took photos along the beach. Haley and Cameron brought out a bottle of champagne to pop and share. I love it when my couples bring champagne or other beverages to crack open and share towards the end of a session! Small activities always add more variety to your final gallery and are simply fun to do together!
To wrap up their photos they ran into the water of Lake Michigan! Seeing them dash into the water and wrap up together reminded me of Allie and Noah from The Notebook. “If you’re a bird, I’m a bird.” 🙂
