Ashley and Ryan got married in September 2021 and they wanted to do an anniversary session to celebrate one year of being married! I took their engagement and wedding photos, so it was special to see them again for their anniversary photos. At this point, Ashley and Ryan are super comfortable being in front of the camera with me and it shows! We took their couples photos in Holland, MI in the downtown area and at the gravel pits.
Michigan Couples Photos in Downtown Holland
Holland has one of the cutest downtown areas, so that’s where we met up to start their anniversary couples photos! We snuck between a few buildings to a quiet spot with glowing string lights hanging above.
The second half of their session was at the gravel pits which is a local favorite for sessions in Holland! The gravel creates a clean background and reflects light back onto your couple which is a nice bonus!
The outfits Ashley and Ryan picked out were a total vibe! I loved her light green dress paired with Ryan’s neutral white shirt and khakis. You can never go wrong with neutrals! And Ashley’s second outfit-OBSESSED! I definitely asked her where she got her pants and top. Their second outfits are another great example of neutrals with a pop of color. Perfect!
Anniversary Photo Session
Engagement photos and weddings aren’t the only times of life to get photos done. Anniversary sessions or couples photos are perfect for getting cute photos of you and your love outside of those big life events. Maybe you need a new Christmas card photo or it’s been a few years since you got engaged or married, so you’d like recent photos of the two of you. For Ashley and Ryan, having a kid-free session was a priority this time! Couples photos are something you’ll always be happy to have!
