My little sister is married!! Lindsey and Giuseppe’s wedding at the Watermark Country Club in Grand Rapids was the best weekend ever! I was able to photograph some of the day and hired an amazing associate to cover the main parts from putting on the dress through reception formalities. This allowed me to be present and take care of maid of honor duties along with my other two sisters! I have 3 sisters total and the other two were also maids of honor.
Wedding at Watermark Country Club
By the time Lindsey was ready to put on her dress, the associate photographer arrived and I switched into full bridesmaid mode. We made sure to create a wedding timeline with plenty of buffer, so we weren’t rushed with getting ready and Lindsey’s bridal portraits!
Lindsey and Giuseppe had their ceremony at a local Catholic church which is beautiful inside! After the ceremony, we took family photos outside on the front steps of the church. Next, we headed to the Riverside Park where Lindsey and Giuseppe exchanged private vows. We found the prettiest cherry blossom trees for their portraits! The cherry blossoms were in full bloom! Isn’t Lindsey’s what veil dreams are made of! It was super long, but looked so elegant and sophisticated!
Wedding Reception at Watermark Country Club
After photos at the park, we headed to the Watermark Country Club where we took bridal party photos out on the lawn. For the reception table decor, I was obsessed with the flowers! Single-stem white roses in vases and glowing white candles covered the tables. It was such a simple look, yet created a warm and romantic vibe with the timeless black and white colors.
Once open dancing began I took over photo duty all the way through their grand exit! Since there wasn’t a sunset due to classic grey Michigan weather, I took Lindsey and Giuseppe outside during dancing for some fun flash photos! We danced all night until it was time for their sparkler exit. They ended with an epic dip kiss! Truly they are one couple who has the dip kiss down!
It was such a special weekend celebrating my sister and her husband! I’m grateful I was able to be a part of their day both as a bridesmaid and a photographer!
