Kelsie and Keaton’s Michigan wedding in downtown Grand Rapids at The Cheney Place was such a fun wedding day! These two found me on Instagram and we took their engagement photos last year. They’ve been together foreverrrr and everyone was so excited to celebrate them!
Wedding in Downtown Grand Rapids
The day of their wedding both Kelsie and Keaton got ready with their wedding party at The Cheney Place. Kelsie did a first look with her bridesmaids which always gets the cutest reactions. Then Kelsie and Keaton did their first look together inside venue and a few portraits before we headed outside. For their portraits, wedding party, and family photos we went to one of my favorite outdoor locations in downtown Grand Rapids.
Kelsie and Keaton went with a timeless look for their wedding with lots of white flowers and greenery. Kelsie’s bridesmaids wore sleek midi dresses in a champagne color which paired perfectly with the groomsmen in their black suits. They decorated their reception space with table bouquets of white flowers and black accents. Simple, yet beautiful! One of my favorite details was the neon sign of their last name that hung behind them during the reception! Total vibe!

It’s no secret that The Cheney Place is one of my favorite Grand Rapids wedding venues! Kelsie and Keaton fell in love with this warehouse venue because of the various indoor photo options it has. All of the large windows throughout The Cheney let it tons of natural light! With Michigan weather, you never know what you’re going to get, so you can have peace of mind knowing it’s possible to get gorgeous portraits inside The Cheney! Plus, getting married at this venue means your entire wedding day from getting ready through reception can happen in one place which is so convenient for everyone involved!
