We met up at sunrise with Sara and Bandjan for these Point Dume Couples Photos in Malibu, California. Sara is also a photographer, and reached out on Instagram about a session when she saw Malibu was one of the stops on our cross country road trip!
Couples Photos at Point Dume Beach
The morning of the session it was overcast and gloomy, and the ocean and waves were CRAZY! I wanted this session to have a more documentary feel, and to fully embrace the foggy, moody weather! I loved that they wore neutral color outfits which were perfect to complete the vibe I was going for.
Sara and Bandjan were so incredible to work with and were up for anything even if it meant getting sandy or dipping into the chilly ocean. I’m so obsessed with how their photos turned out!
About Photos at Point Dume in Malibu
Point Dume State Beach is outside of Malibu and is along the Pacific Coast Highway. It’s known for it’s rugged coastline and the incredible views of the Santa Monica Bay from the top of the bluff. For Sara and Bandjan’s session we parked and walked down to the beach where we spent most of our time. Since we met up at sunrise, we had the whole area to ourselves which always makes the early wake up time worth it!
